The guest lecture
Thermoelectrics is an environment friendly technology and appears to be the only technology suitable for recuperating decentralized and low-grade waste heat. The Chinese government pays great attention to the research on thermoelectric materials and devices. Many projects in the field of thermoelectrics have been supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in China and National Natural Science Foundation of China. Some Chinese research groups have studied continuously on advanced thermoelectric materials for many years and since 1980 the output of thermoelectric modules and relevant consumer products are rapidly increased in China.
The guest lecture reviews the activities and progresses of some Chinese research groups on the field of thermoelectrics, especially on the research of thermoelectric materials and devices. The guest lecture also briefly introduces the thermoelectric products and the R & D activities of Guangdong Fuxin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
