The Drives Control Laboratory, located in PON 107, room 3.107, consists of five identical drive systems controlled by mixed RISC/DSP digital controllers (dSPACE DS1103 PPC) featuring four-quadrant operation capability. Each of the five systems uses an Induction Motor (IM) and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM), both machines being able to work either in motoring or generating mode.
The Danfoss FC302 converters are controlled via an IPC card, designed at our department and used in many other research projects.
Features & services
This laboratory is equipped with fixed motor setups, controllable via dSPACE DS1103 system, that is programmed via Matlab/Simulink environment. Real-time experiments for advanced motor control techniques can be developed using Matlab/Simulink and the Control Desk environment.
