Lithium ion battery, sodium ion battery and super-capacitor have received great attention due to their promising future in energy storage and their performance mainly relay heavily on electrode materials. In order to meet the increasing demands of modern electrical devices, metal-organic frame-works (MOFs), a new kind of porous material with great specific surface area and good porosity, will be studied as materials for high performance energy storage devices. Graphene will also be used to improve the conductivity of composites to strength the power density and to maintain cyclic stability. This project will explore methods for practical applications of MOFs in energy storage devices.
