Laboratory Facilities

A state-of-the-art facility for testing battery cells and packs, fuel and electrolyzer cells, stacks and complete integrated systems. Test facilities to characterize catalytic processes for hydrogen production and synthetic fuel production.

The laboratory supports the research and educational programmes within the above mentioned areas. The facilities are open for other research programmes upon request.

The laboratory underwent a major update and renovation in 2012. The laboratory has allocated space for battery testing as well as electrolyzer and fuel cell testing. The available test equipment consists of commercial test stations combined with areas for in-house setups. The entire laboratory is equipped with ventilation systems, electricity connections and gas alarms that support using explosive gases. The laboratory is supplied with a range of gases from an external facility.

Further information about the laboratory facilities may be found here: Fuel Cell and Battery Systems Laboratory.
