Introduction on Green Buildings
The limited resources of fossil fuel and the impact of burning fossil fuels on green house gas emissions makes it mandatory to explore alternative and sustainable energy. No single source of energy will have the capacity of meeting the required demand. The future supply of energy needs to include a plurality of technologies for the extraction, the conversion and for the utilisation of electricity and heat related to buildings. The purpose of the programme is to research the interaction between and the integration and optimisation of the various sustainable energy technologies in buildings.
