Introduction on Thermoelectrics
The Thermoelectric research programme has its main focus on designing optimized thermoelectric energy systems through complete and detailed modeling, multi-parameter optimization and hardware design. Activities include multiphysics modeling based on computational fluid dynamics and electrical circuit modeling as well as experimental work involving full thermoelectric systems and individual thermoelectric modules or specific hardware for heat transfer and power electronics.
A main aspect of the research activities is to use cutting edge results in the training of highly qualified BSc, MSc and PhD candidates within the field of Thermal Energy and Process Engineering or Power Electronics and Drives offered by the Energy Study Programme at Aalborg University. If you have an interest in working with thermoelectric energy conversion as a part of your studies, you are welcome to investigate the possibilities. We also welcome guest students.
