The Eco-racer Research laboratory (ECO-Lab) facilitates the development of Aalborg University Eco Racer. The AAU Eco racer is a prototype urban concept hydrogen car which goal is to increase fuel efficiency. Aalborg University have been competing with other European universities at an annual fuel efficiency race called the Shell eco-marathon. The car has formed a platform for several student projects revolving topics of different areas of the car. These areas include optimization of the drive train, fuel cell, or the mechanical driving system among others.
