Graduation 2016: 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for “Excellent and Innovative Work” awarded by the Energy Sponsor Programme

Every year, the Energy Sponsor Programme gives out awards at the Graduation in June. The students must have demonstrated marvellous academic skills, extraordinary engagement and solid work. Another criterion is that the projects must reflect innovative thinking. Exam marks are also a deciding factor.

The 1st prize DKK 10,000 winners of the Energy Sponsor Programme Awards, Graduation 2016:

Kristian Linding Frederiksen & Anders Eggert Maarbjerg

Title:

1.2 MW Wind Turbine Converter Test System for Emulation and Monitoring of Field Failures Caused by Static and Dynamic Stress Factors

Quote from the nomination:

”The students achieved a top mark and so far they had two papers accepted based on their project. They built a huge test system in the laboratory and made it work. They have also shown excellent skills in cooperating with industry and have completed both modelling and extensive experimental work”.

Title:

Modelling of an Electro-chlorination Cell for Water Disinfection

Modeling and Control of Modern Wind Farms with Hydrogen Energy Storage Systems

Quote from the nomination:

”The student achieved a top mark and has submitted three international papers during his project. The project is a modeling project dealing with both wind, PEM electrolyzers and hydrogen gas turbines in a very creative and innovative way.”
