AAU Play is a video universe that offers high school teachers inspiration for their teaching. The videos contain short lectures with researchers from AAU. Each lecture is accompanied by a set of assignments that the high school students can work with.

It is with great regret and sorrow that we have learnt that our old colleague, Ewen Ritchie, passed away on 15th February 2021. For many years, Ewen was a highly treasured colleague at the department, who played an important role for many of us as well as for our students. Ewen was a warm and caring person, who will be missed by all of us who knew him.

In the wake of the recent heated discussion about grid expansions in Western and Southern Jutland, a new PhD project will investigate one of the impacts on a power system using underground cables instead of overhead lines. In time, this may lead to a larger percentage of the transmission grid being underground, which is a pronounced wish from the general public.
