This PhD research focus to develop single-phase/three-phase standalone wind energy conversion system (WECS) using custom power devices and power electronic converter. Power circuit consist of standard single-phase/three-phase inverter as shunt active filter (FACTS device e.g. DSTATCOM)) connected to the grid. Task will focus to maintain the power quality as per IEEE-519 standards. Further, new control algorithms will be develop for reactive power compensation, to improve the power factor and harmonics elimination under linear/non-linear loading conditions. Further, the standards of PCC (Point of Common Coupling) will be maintain for testing conditions. A systematic study will carry out in simulation software modeling and implementation using digital signal processor dSPACE in laboratory scale prototype.
