The Smart Water Treatment Systems (SWTS) project is a cooperated research with The Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center (DHRTC) at DTU within the “advanced water-flooding flagship programme”. The objective of the SWTS is to develop a smart water management system that addresses both optimal operational performance and process development/design, by employing the advanced control and big data analytics technologies.  This PhD work will focus on innovative analysis and development of Produced Water Treatment (PWT) technology for offshore oil & gas production, with the objective to promote the PWT technology and facilities more efficiently, environmentally friendly and robust to diverse operating conditions and regulations.
