The PhD project will investigate and propose power system stability and control for future power systems in order to achieve a reliable supply to increase the stability and security of the grid. It will also study the influence in the static grid voltage stability and transient stability when different wind farms connected to the power grid. The PhD project aims to propose innovative control approaches for voltage/transient stability improvement in power systems with high wind power integration. The proposed methodology will maximize the utilization of renewable energy like wind and solar energy, reduces their impacts and improves the stability and reliability. An experimental platform based on the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) will be built in order to perform the stability analysis and control in real-time.
